Abby’s father left in 1995. After that, her mother became ill, and eventually died. She lived with her grandparents, who were very impoverished. Abby has always been an excellent student, but when she first arrived, she was withdrawn. Now she is friendly and talks with the other students. She is involved in sports and has received a certificate for being a good athlete.
