Alex’s father died in 2000, and his mother left the same year. Alex was taken in by his aunt, but they were not able to provide for Alex. When he arrived at our home, Alex did poorly in math and Chinese, but did not understand the importance of improving his grades. He was, however, eager to participate in group activities. He has made some progress in his studies, but there is still room for improvement. Alex is a nice and kind boy, respectful to his teachers. He gets along well with the other children, and is particularly interested in computer. We feel he has potential in this area to be trained as a professional.
