Nick comes from a broken family. His father was mentally unstable, and unable to provide for his family. His mother left home, and Nick was sent to his grandparents, who were feeble. When he arrived at our home in 2006, he was underweight and emotionally traumatized. Since coming here, he has gained weight and has become more friendly and outgoing. He is well-liked and is a hardworking student in the first grade.
