Jay’s father was nearly 50 years old when he married. Jay’s mother left home shortly after Jay’s younger sister was born. His father struggled to support the family, but became ill and died in 2005. Jay and his sister were left with no one to care for them. Members of our staff heard about them, and rescued them in December of 2005. Jay is now an active and outgoing boy in 5th grade who likes working with his hands. He still has catching up to do with his studies, however, after so many years of neglect.
