Joe’s father died in 1996, and when his mother left in1997, Joe was sent to live with his grandparents. His grandma had terminal cancer, and they were extremely impoverished. When Joe arrived at our home he was malnourished and dressed in rags. With good food and care, combined with Joe’s intelligence and determination, he gained height and weight and became an excellent student. Joe is kind, friendly and modest. He hopes to be a pro NBA player in the future.
