Donna’s mother left in 1998, and her dad died of a heart attack in 2001.She lived with her elderly aunt who was unable to work. Both of them led a very difficult life. Donna’s struggles have made her a strong person, and although she was somewhat bossy with the younger children at first, she is now well-liked and was elected to be the leader in her class.
