Jimmy's father, who had lost his vision, fell into a deep irrigation channel and drowned. His mother died from a stomach hemorrhage. As his grandparents both were dead, Jimmy lived with an uncle. When the uncle married, his new wife refused to care for Jimmy. He was supported by some kind villagers for a time before coming to our orphanage. In the three years Jimmy has been with us, he has grown into a responsible young man who gets along very well with his classmates.
