Lily's parents married in 1989 and had two girls and a boy. Her father, a farmer, developed kidney problems, and his treatment used up all their savings. When he died in 1998, Lily's mother left home. The three children went to live with their grandparents, who were not able to provide for them. Lily and her sister, Freda (Qi Ran Ran), arrived at our orphanage in 2003. Lily is a calm, quiet girl who takes her studies very seriously. She is the best student in her class.
