Before Amy's parents met, her mother had been sold, physically abused and tortured, and abandoned to wander the streets. She was mentally unstable when Amy's father took her home. After a while, they were married and had two daughters. When he died from liver cancer in 2000, Amy's mother became unstable and finally wandered off again, never to return. The girls were left alone, and were in very bad condition when they were found and brought to our home. Amy worked diligently for a year to become an outstanding student. She hopes to help and save homeless children when she is grown.
