Before Maggie's parents met, her mother had been sold, physically abused and tortured, and abandoned to wander the streets. She was mentally unstable when Maggie's father took her home. After a while, they were married and had two daughters. When he died from liver cancer in 2000, Maggie's mother suffered a relapse, and finally wandered off, never to return. The girls were left alone, and were in very bad condition when they were found and brought to our home. Maggie is an outstanding student. She is gentle, kind and loving and always cares for the younger children. She wants to return to work in the orphanage after finishing her education.
