Melissa's parents were sent to jail when she was 3 years old, and she was sent to a foster home where she lived for 7 years. She came to our home with poor study habits and behavior problems. Melissa was born with congenital cataracts which cause her to be very near-sighted. With consistent love and discipline from our staff, she has become not only a good student, but a responsible member of our ""family"" who helps younger children.
