Annie was found in the street when she was 4 years old and brought by police to a government orphanage, where she stayed for 5 years. She was born with a cleft pallet and lip. She has had surgery, but will need another surgery on her lip after adolescence. When Annie arrived at our home, she had very low self-esteem and had not been taught any social skills. After spending two years at our home, Annie has learned to love herself and others, she is an A student, and loves reading and playing piano.
