Vicky was found at age 6 by a policeman and taken to a government run orphanage. She came to our home at age 10. She was behind educationally, and had not been taught basic life skills. She was withdrawn and distrustful of adults. Vicky has gradually learned to trust our staff members, and has made a great deal of progress with her studies. She is beginning to open up more and to speak more freely to us.
