Fang Shan Training Center

Building Maintenance Fund

It is hard to believe that Fangshan building is already four years old.   Just like any other kinds of building, there is a need to maintain it.  Over the past few years, we had to repair a section of the roof, paint over the hall way, fixe ceilings over several public restrooms, and repair  the sewage tank,            (please see pictures below.)

Our current building spreads over to about 20,000 square feet.  It has seven units which are 3-bedroom apartments for the orphans and their house parents.  There is a multipurpose room which is used for dinning room, dancing studio, assembly hall, and activity center.  There are also staff apartments which house American teachers, administrative staff, drivers, chef, etc.     A big section of the building has 7 classrooms, a library, office, and storage rooms.  It is necessary for us to have a designated fund account just for taking care of building maintenance.  We appreciate your contribution towards this fund which provides an important component of orphan care.

1. Heating Pipes

2. Roof Repair - this includes the following areas:

     A. Class room section of the roof as shown below

      B. Boys and girls bathroom ceilings (which has shower section and stall section)

     C. The overhang connecting the two buildings as seen here between the two double doors

3. Repair Well Head

4. Septic Tank (the entire tank crumbled and had to be rebuilt) It is now under these soft covers, safe enough for the kindetgarten kids to play here every day.

5. Replacing muddy ground with concretein alley way and outside of the furnace room

I want to be part of the exciting work being done in Fang Shan for China's orphans!
