My mother always had health problems. Before I was born, my mom was diagnosed with Cancer. She worried every day about the day she would leave this world and leave me behind. My mother always loved me, but after my father left, her love for me grew even more. This life with my mother did not last very long. When I was 5 years old, my mother’s health began to deteriorate. Soon after, she passed away and I remained in the care of my old grandparents. My grandparents also had poor health. My grandmother had cataracts, so working in the field was very difficult for her. She worked very hard to support me and even gave me a small allowance, but our lives got increasingly harder. My aunt felt bad letting my old grandparents care for me, so she offered to take care of me, but my grandfather always shook his head and said, “Let’s talk about this later.” When it came time for me to go to school, I could often hear my grandparents talk about how they will give me an education no matter what they had to sacrifice. I was able to attend school when I turned 7. Year after year, I saw my grandfather pay my school tuition using small bills and change. Every time I saw this, I can’t express my feelings because I knew how hard they worked for me.Finally, one day, I heard that there was a school in Beijing that specifically helps children without parents, like me. My grandfather was so happy and excited. I was so lucky to be chosen to go to Bo Ai “Big Family” (Bo Ai Art Training School, now called Angel Training School). After I came to this school, my grandfather never had to worry about my school tuition again. On February 20, 2006, I arrived at the school with 12 other children. As I walked through the door, I felt that this was my new home. In this place, other children will no longer laugh at me and in the winter, I will never be cold again. In my old school, students would point and laugh at me and judge me for not having parents that love me. When I lived with my grandparents, they could not give me the best. I don’t regret not having parents because my grandparents gave me all that they had. When I was 12 years old, my grandparents passed away. Their passing did not bring me bad luck because God brought me to an even better place – Angel Training School. Once I came to this school, I knew that the unfair and hopeless life I was living had come to an end. Here, the aroma of the food was heavenly. Every day, we ate a different meal and I had gained some weight. We slept in comfortable beds and we could shower every week. We were never again dirty like we had been before. Of course, I saw so many things that I had never seen or used before. This new experience really opened up my eyes to the world. At home, we hardly ate any fruit, but here, we had so much fruit, it was like we were in heaven. I also learned how to dance and how to communicate with foreign friends. My studies even improved! Eventually, I saw this place as completely my own home.
Eight years later, I started my internship into society. I am a new person. I have the inner confidence to face society and will gradually adjust to this world. In my internship, I am not only learning the knowledge of the job, but also how to be a good person and to do a good job. I may not be doing this job forever, but I will do my best while I’m here. I don’t concern myself with how others view me because I know that everything that happens to me is God’s will. God brought all of us unfortunate children together and gave us a real home, not to ever be alone again. I will do my best and one day I will help children just like me. Any path that God chooses for me, I will follow Him until the very end.Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
